When Brock Lesnar was in the midst of his medical problems recently, he said he got so disgusted with his inability to train that he left the U.S. and went to Canada to hunt. I’m not a hunter and never will be, but I can relate to his frustration.
About ¾ of the way through a 4 and ½-hour workout on Saturday, I started to feel it. The other guys were pushing pretty hard, so initially I thought that was the reason I felt like I was going to throw up.
I made it back without incident, but I was totally frustrated by my inability to perform to my standards. And I’m not a professional athlete.
Imagine how Lesnar felt or any other mixed martial artist feels when he can't do his trade due to illness or injury. That’s their livelihood.
