LAS VEGAS - World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) will take its show on the road February 13 with a championship tripleheader at the Santa Ana Star Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In the main event, Albuquerque's own "Natural Born Killer," Carlos Condit, looks to defend his WEC Welterweight title and avenge a previous defeat in the same night as he takes on Carlo Prater. Also in action will be "Razor" Rob McCullough, who defends his WEC Lightweight crown against rising star Jamie Varner, and the 135-pound iron man, WEC Bantamweight Champion Chase Beebe, who will put his belt on the line against jiu-jitsu ace Miguel Torres.

FIGHTER INFO
Carlos Condit will defend his title against Carlo Prater in what many are calling one of the best matchups in the history of the WEC.

Following his dominating first round submission win over Brock Larson in August, Condit (21-4) is eager to get back into action against Prater, who handed him his first pro loss in 2004 in front of his hometown crowd. Condit is looking forward to avenging that loss and continuing to add to his already impressive resume, and if he can do it in front of his hometown fans for the first time in over two and a half years, the victory will be even sweeter.

Prater (21-5-1) is an explosive fighter who has taken on and beaten many of the top fighters in the sport today. Currently riding a three-fight winning steak, this Texan has one thing on his mind on February 13th and that's walking away with the WEC Welterweight title.

"Razor" Rob McCullough (15-3) is back in action after his stirring TKO win over Richard Crunkilton in September, where he proved why he should be considered one of the top lightweights in MMA. And while McCullough's vicious striking has stopped many opponents in the past, he will be thoroughly tested by young gun Jamie Varner (13-2, 1 NC), a UFC veteran who made an immediate impact in the WEC with his win over Sherron Leggett.

The bantamweight division has earned a reputation for fast-paced and action packed fights. Defending champion Chase Beebe (13-1) will take on one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the sport, Miguel Torres. Beebe captured the WEC title with an impressive win over Eddie Wineland in March of 2007, and he continued his domination with a win over grappling sensation Rani Yahya.

Miguel Torres (19-1) may be Beebe's toughest challenge yet though. A native of East Chicago, Indiana, Torres has taken on all comers, earning a reputation along the way as a premier battler with a bright future. Will that future include a WEC title?  We'll find out next month.
