IFL Changes Traditional Ring to Hexagon
Officials Address Demise Rumor

NEW YORK - The International Fight League today (May 8) announced it is in the process of developing a hexagon-shaped mixed martial arts ring to be used in future IFL competitions.  The new ring, created in conjunction with Throwdown Industries, the makers of Throwdown Energy Drink, will debut when the IFL holds its event on August 15 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

During a conference call with reporters, Jay Larkin, the IFL's CEO, also addressed the rumor's about the league's instability.
"Is the IFL for sale? Everything is for sale. Microsoft is for sale with the right terms and price," he said.

Inquires come in daily, he said.

"We entertain questions from potential investors and buyers almost daily," said Larkin.

Larkin, who was on the call with Bas Rutten, the IFL's VP of fighter development, said the IFL has a "solid infrastructure" and planned to move forward into 2008 with a "business plan and future they have confidence in."
