PORTLAND, Oregon - It was all about "Domination" Friday night (Sept. 19) at SportFight XXIV here at the Rose Garden Arena.
Matt "The Law" Lindland and HDNet Fights provided the fans with exceptional night of fights that included a featherweight championship bout between Enoch Wilson and Brian Geraghty. These two fighters demonstrated exactly why the featherweight class is so exciting.
Both landed solid kicks, knees, and strikes, and the pace continued to be fast with back-and-forth action through the 4th round until Wilson put Geraghty on his back and landed a devastating punch from the standing position to receive an impressive TKO.
Former SportFight champ Mike Pierce faced Mark Miller in a bloody co-main event. Pierce opened a cut on Miller's head that eventually stopped the fight in Round 2, so Pierce continues to work his way back to a shot at the title again.
Heavyweights DJ Linderman and Mychael Clarke put on a great heavyweight fight with both guys pushing forward with non-stop exchanges. Linderman received the unanimous decision for his second SportFight victory.
Mike Joy dominated Matt May, and Aaron Stark got the tapout of the night after a tough fight with Ron Fields with only 13 seconds left in the round. Hats off to Matt Lindland, HDNet Fights, and the entire SportFight production for another great evening of MMA entertainment.
