LOS ANGELES - Gehrig and Ruth. Montana and Rice. Kareem and Magic. Jeter and A-Rod. Gretzky and Messier.

When you think about some of the greatest teammates in sports history, these are just some of the names that come to mind. Well, now you can add two more names to that list: Rutten and Couture.

Bas Rutten and Randy Couture are joining forces with the people behind the World Fighting Alliance (WFA) and Los Angeles' Bomb Squad Gym to create LEGENDS, a mixed martial arts training center. Rutten and Couture will be training, developing topnotch fighters under their own care and helping clients.

One of those figures they are joining forces with is Jeremy Lappen, chief executive officer and owner of the World Fighting Alliance. Lappen brings extensive experience in the production and management of a long list of martial artists and boxers, including Muhammad Ali.

Muay Thai fighter and owner of the renowned Bomb Squad, Chris Reilly, will also be joining LEGENDS as a partner. Reilly will be closing his Bomb Squad Gym to bring his members and staff with him to LEGENDS.
