| Beurrier Takes 66kg at Canadian Sambo Event |

CANADA - Late July marked the date of the first annual Canadian Freestyle Sambo Open Championships, and it was held in tandem with the Canadian Combat Sambo Federation.
This event, while small, went a long way toward promoting sambo in Canada. The matches were very tough and we had two new clubs that attended for the first time.

Gold - Reilly Bodycomb (NYCS, New York)
Silver - Maxim Champoux (Karate Sportif, Montreal)

Gold - Aslin Pierre (Club Kozak, Montreal)
Silver - Ilir Berisha (Club Kozak, Montreal)

Gold - Alex Kouzime (Club Kozak, Montreal)
Silver - Mike Martele (Grizzly Gym, Toronto)
Bronze - Dave Miller (Club Kozak, Montreal)
