UFC On Spike Knocks Out Major League Baseball
NEW YORK, New York - A key pennant race match-up between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds on ESPN was no match for a night of wild knockouts on UFC Fight Night on Spike TV.

The UFC Fight Night drew 233% more Men 18-49, 224% more Men 18-34 and 74% more total viewers than the Wednesday Night Baseball telecast.

Overall, the Spike telecast drew 1.9 million viewers with a 1.6 HH rating (1.5 million), 1.7 (919,000) Men 18-49, and a 1.9 (535,000) in Men 18-34.  The telecast was #1 from 9-11 p.m. in cable in all key demographics, including M18-49, M18-34, M25-34 and M35-49.

The premiere of "The Ultimate Fighter 6" drew 1.7 million viewers following the fight card at 11:00 p.m.  The series drew a 1.5 HH rating and a 1.7 in M18-49 and 1.9 in M18-34 and was the second most-watched series in all of cable with Men 18-49 for the day. (The UFC Fight Night finished third).

The UFC Fight Night, emanating from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, showcased a bevy of The Ultimate Fighter alumni and featured two incredible knockouts from fighters who seemed to have been perilously close to losing.

• Nate Quarry (Season 1) landed a dramatic right-hand punch to knockout Pete "Drago" Sell (Season 4) late in the third round of their grueling brawl. Quarry was losing on the judges' scorecards and apparently headed for a tough loss to the hard-hitting Sell.

• A seemingly beaten Chris Leben (Season 1), who just absorbed a right-hand blow from Terry Martin, stunned the crowd with a shocking left-hand knockout punch in the third round of their fight.

• In the main event, Kenny Florian (Season 1) moved ever-closer to a shot at the UFC lightweight crown with a victory over Din Thomas (Season 4) via submission in the first round.
