Round 5 sent us Series 1 of their action figures. The set includes Mr. Matt Hughes, Quinton, Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz. If you haven’t seen these, you have to check them out. Round 5 did a great job. I happened to bring these little dudes home and set them on a filing cabinet adjacent to my desk. I set them down, stepped back to check them out and Tito “moved” backward into a lamp. No biggie. When I woke up the next day, however, I found him on the floor. Actually, he was inside my bike helmet, which I had forgotten on the floor. For a second, I thought maybe I somehow had gotten transferred into an episode of “The Twilight Zone.” You know, one of those episodes in which inanimate objects come alive at night, create mischief and then return “home” before daybreak. I don’t want to jinx us here in So Cal, but I have to believe that Mr. Ortiz won’t move again, unless he gets an assist from one of our, unfortunately, long overdue earthquakes. At least I think. Wait a minute. Is his arm lower today than yesterday? — Doug J |
