This is the last day in Atlanta for UFC 88. Here are some quick thoughts/updates before we head to the airport.

• Following what has to be a devastating loss, Chuck Liddell showed up at the post-fight press conference. Give him tons of credit for doing that.

• The post-fight press conference was held on a practice court that the Atlanta Hawks use. It had been freshly painted … and still smelled quite strong.

• The press conference ended about 1:45. Ultimate Grappling, along with some of the other media, rode in a van with Nate “The Great” back to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel at 2:15 a.m., there were quite a few people hanging out, waiting to see the fighters.

• It’s clear this morning. Not a cloud to be seen. I guess we escaped the bad weather.
