According to the Los Angeles Times, prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi supports the compassionate release of convicted Charles Manson follower Susan Atkins, who is 60 and suffering from a terminal disease. Atkins and Manson were convicted of seven murders “during a bloody rampage in the Los Angeles area over two nights in 1969.” One of the victims was Sharon Tate’s unborn child. I’ve got a few questions for Bugliosi.
1. Where was Atkins’ compassion for the fetus? 2. Where was Atkins’ compassion for the pregnant Tate? 3. Where was Atkins’ compassion for the other victims, who have now been dead and buried for some 39 years?
