COLUMBUS, Ohio — Respect goes both ways.
The Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League honored WEC General Manager Reed Harris and bantamweight contender Miguel Angel Torres recently.
Columbus Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash, who recently won an Olympic gold medal for Team Canada, as well as forwards Jared Boll and Derek Dorsett, presented Harris and Torres with authentic, personalized team jerseys. In return, Harris and Torres gave the trio a bevy of official WEC gear, including gloves, sweatshirts, and hats. Harris and Torres instantly struck up friendships with the players and were thrilled to be recognized by the team.
“I’ve become a big Rick Nash fan, not only for his play in the Olympics, but for his dedication to the city of Columbus,” Harris said. “The entire Columbus Blue Jackets organization is first-class and we can’t wait to hold an event at Nationwide this weekend.”
