noimageThe UFC's Brock Lesnar, who has conquered virtually every sport he's played, has set his sights on MMA success.
Brock Lesnar has done it all. And then some.
Only 30 years of age and hailing from South Dakota, this former NCAA Division I national wrestling champion met his wife Rena, formerly the wrestler known as Sable, while they were both putting the hurt on their opponents in the ring for the WWE.
0809_grp_BROCK_s“We’re just regular people,” laughs the 6-foot 3-inch, 275-pounder.
That is, if beating people with folding chairs and being married to a former Playboy cover girl are in your daily routine.
LIFE ON THE FARM
Lesnar is one of four kids who grew up on a working farm. Having two older brothers who pounded on him contributed to his love of fighting.
“Until little bro got big enough to handle himself,” he says matter-of-factly.
That is perhaps the understatement of the year. Lesnar started wrestling at age five.
“One day, after kindergarten, I didn’t have a way home, so I went over to the gymnasium and waited for a ride after my brother’s wrestling practice,” he says. “So I showed up, thought it was pretty cool and joined in with some other kids. That’s where it all started.”
And he basically never stopped.
